    Overview

    Avaline Diploma Level 3 is an alternative qualification for Undergraduate entry courses. Students who have completed year 11 or year 12 in their High School within their countries or have completed the first year of ‘A’ level (AS) can take the Avaline Diploma Level 3 course instead of the intensive or final year of A level. The Avaline Diploma Level 3 course goes beyond the standard A levels. This course is designed to ensure all students have a practical experience and understand the applications of their chosen subjects, which allows students to be prepared for the wide range of experiences on offer in Higher Education and beyond. All students are assessed through a combination of exams and coursework throughout the year.


    Qualification Structure

    Avaline Diploma Level 3 course is an intensive one-year course designed as an alternative route to a Bachelor’s Degree.  Students will select a minimum of 3 traditional A-Level subjects plus Avaline Academic English (this is a combination of IELTS and Academic English) and an Avaline Independent Research Project  (Practical Education Skill Development -PESd) as supporting subject.

    The Avaline Project course specification provides a mixture of theoretical (A-Level Subjects) and practical (Skill Development) applications. Students will be assessed based on a combination of exams (60%) and coursework (40%). The course is regulated by External Examiners from top UK institutions.

    Level 3 studiesa studuent need to take 3 subjecs as minimum. also student need to study Academic english and Independent Research Project as supporting subject.  


    Course Delivery

    All classes are taught by qualified Avaline teachers at various campuses, plus Online teaching by UK-based teachers to ensure that all students are globally assessed with the same academic rigour and standards. Examinations and coursework are set and marked by Avaline Assessment and Qualifications and verified by an independent external examiner.


    Matriculation

    AVALINE Diploma Level 3 consists of a combination of written examinations and coursework. Courses commence in September and conclude by June/July. Our Level 3 AVALINE DIPLOMA pass grades are A*, A, B, C, D and E.

    The course carries a total of 100 credit (100%). 60 credit (60%) are allocated to examinations and 40 credit (40%) are allocated to coursework. In order to be successful, students must score a minimum of 24 credit (40%) in examinations and a minimum of 20 credit (50%) in coursework. The overall minimum number of points required is 40 credit (40%).


    Entry Requirements

    Our Avaline Diploma Level 3 Applicants should have the required background experience and qualifications to start a course. For Level 3 course, the School normally requires 5 GCSE passes at grades A* - C /  9 - 4, including English and Mathematics. A satisfactory English score is an alternative to GCSE.

    If an international student, reports from the applicant’s present or most recent school should indicate satisfactory attitudes and conduct on the part of parents and applicant. 

    Each applicant will be interviewed by Head of Admission of Avaline School or another senior and experienced member of staff.

    English Language Requirements: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (international students only). 

     


    Progressions

    Successful completion of the Avaline Level 3 Diploma provides student the opportunity join Undergraduate Level of study at Univeristy or International year 1. This qualification has been carefully constructed and assessed and it’s testing and assessment pushes students slightly beyond the academic limits of A-Level. AAQ has been mindful to select the right people and high standards to ensure academic credibility and legitimacy.  External assurance and moderation has been established and AAQ has modelled its operations and benchmarked them against UK-based examination boards and the demands set by the regulator.
