On the 6th of December, 2023, a delegation from the University of Huddersfield and the International Centre of Sustainable Academic Research (ISAR) visited Hospitality Institute of Sanya.

In-depth discussions on international cooperation in vocational education took place during the meeting. Professor Bob Cryan, Chairman of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and Vice Challenlor of the University of Huddersfield, along with Huaijun Fang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Hospitality Institute of Sanya, signed a MoU between the two institutions. They also unveiled the plaque for the ISAR's "Practical Training Centre" in Sanya.

Accompanying the delegation were Rupert Ward, Dean of the Sino-British College at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology; Dr Wayne Bailey, Head of the Department of Business, Education, and Law at the University of Huddersfield; Mr Yanming Sui, Executive Director of the ISAR; and Mr Xuerong Jiao, China Dean of the ISAR.
